Flower Pot

This is scanned from a negative, by a scanner that doesn't do that kind of thing... However it does show nicely, how dirty the underside of the glass plate has become (how it got that way, I do not know), and also, my constant bane of that class, dirty negatives (mostly due to the fact that the filter in the negative dryer never ever got changed, so it just blew dirty dusty air all over the negatives).

Icicle

This was hanging down off the roof over my patio. I thought it looked cool, but never could get it to print right... and I couldn't get the negative to scan right either... Note: all that dust and dirt and gunk? that's off the glass of the scanner. The underside of the glass, which is supposedly sealed.

Flower

Again scanned from a negative... horribly over exposed picture, makes for an okay-ish underexposed scan... Never did get that to print right either.

Fake Flowers

Just a bunch of silk flowers... This is the negative of them. I'm including two negative scans, this one being the best of the two...

Fake Flowers

This is the other negative scan.

Dolly

My guinea pig, Dolly. Yes, those are scratches and owies on the negatives. How'd they get there? Simple. I was not the first, or last class of the day. I was the next to last class of the day, and the first class, always had to tear your negatives out of the dryer, and throw them about in the dark room... That's how they got scratched.

Dolly

Not as bad with the scratches, and a little better exposure,

Dolly

This one, I believe was the slightly under exposed of a set of three (over correct under), it scanned nicely though.

Dolly

This one, the slightly over exposed. I like how it came out, and it didn't need quite as much photoshop work to be presentable.

Fake Flowers 2

This is a scan off of one of my contact sheets, since I never actually printed this picture. You'll notice the picture looks quite a bit different, and somewhat better.

Butterfly

I loved the wood grain, and the way the light played on it... and then there was a cool butterfly on the table too! Only problem, was that the butterfly was all black, almost... so it doesn't show up very well.

Wreath

Just some random fake-flower wreath, that a former land-lord had up... I thought it would make a nice picture.

Petey

Positive image, of a friend's truck. Next is the negative, made from this positive. How'd I do that? by flipping it over, laying it onto a piece of photographic paper, and then blasting light at it, full bore, from the enlarger for a few seconds.

Petey Negative

And here's the negative view.

Bob's Barn

A friend's barn. I liked the way that the light was playing in the scene... and was slacking off. There is a computer-colorized version of this, in the color gallery.

Cactus Garden

This was taken while I was out visiting my dad. It is part, of a large cactus garden that is in the back of the pool area, of my cousin's house. It's difficult to explain the layout, but... I do like the garden.

Feather

Inside same house, the wall had a really neat weave pattern on it, and, he had a vase with an old feather in it... I'm not sure what bird it goes to, but I thought the two looked pretty cool next to one another.

Cactus Flowers

Various succulents... All desert plants. The whole house, really, has a southwestern motif to it. I love how the depth-of-field came in to play on this one.

Sun God

A wood carving/sculpture/??? that my cousin had hanging on one wall, facing the pool (which you can't see) but the pool does cause some interesting reflections on that wall (which you also probably can't see). There is also a computer colorized version of this, in the color gallery.
